| Elevation Week - JuNe 26-July 1 |
|
Elevation Week replaces our Teens-N-Training program and is designed to help students step up to the next level in Christian Leadership.
The objectives of the week is for teenage students to learn the importantce of mentoring and counceling of their young peers. Through course curriculum of proper counselling techniques, spiritual growth and servant leadership, campers will be able to lead and challenge younger peers to spiritual growth in Christ. This week is for teens who are 14 years old (as of June 1) and older who desire to work at Oak as Junior Counselors and who have not attended our Teens-N-Training program in the past. The cost of this week is reduced to $65 as this is a working week for those attending.
The spiritual material that will be covered will be on the scriptural bases of servant leadership. The students will be challenged to understands God call to be a servant in our leadership. They will also be challenged to understand the importance of relationships. The students will be challenged to no longer just call themselves Christians but understand that there is a cost to following Christ. We want them to understand that following Christ takes dying to self and earthly desire and living only for Him. Also each evening during the vespers, we'll have a different event that centers around that day's study and help them put the study into action.
