Music/Drama - Traveling Rules
- Always be polite to people who are keeping you.
- Leave the home you're visiting in the same or better condition
than you found it.
- Make your bed.
- You may use your cell phone to call home from the house you
are staying in, but conversations must be brief (less than
10 minutes) because it is rude to ignore your hosts and their
hospitality.
- Pick up any and all trash.
- Check to be sure you have all your stuff - you may not get
back something you forget.
- Leave a "thank-you" note either individually or
as a group.
- Cell phones cannot be used while on the bus, though you may
use them while we are enjoying free time off the bus. If you
feel that you have a situation where you must use your cell
phone on the bus see Evelyn, Christie, or Sandy first. If a
staff member sees you on the phone and asks you to get off
(and you have not received permission), please respect the
counselor's authority and end your phone call.
- There will be a trash bag on the bus. Put all your
trash in that bag. (Do
not push trash of any kind in the ashtrays or bus pockets!)
- Treat each church respectfully.
- Don't sit on the Communion table or the railings of the
church. Don't go into their nursery (or any classroom area)
and play with the toys. Don't move anything we haven't gotten
permission to move.
- Clean up the area where you dress; take out the trash; be
sure to get all your belongings.
- Don't walk on the pews, sit on the backs of the pews, or
leave your stuff all over the pews - put any extra things in
the bus.
- Be sure you have your towel, bathing suit, and money when
we leave the bus at Virginia Beach. (We
will not unpack the bottom of the bus. Plus the bus may not
stay where we will have access).
- Ladies - One piece bathing suits only.
- Gentlemen - No speedos! Swimming trunks only.
- Always ask before you do anything.
- You can never say "thank you" enough - keep it
on your lips and in your mind!
